Clinical Pilates Program

Clinical Pilates is a form of therapeutic exercise used by physiotherapists to assist in the rehabilitation and prevention of musculoskeletal injury. Its main aim is to improve the core stabilising muscles, lying deep in your abdomen and spine. Specialised pilates equipment such as reformer beds and trapeze tables are used in conjunction with swiss-ball and matwork floor exercises to specifically activate these muscles, therefore allowing normal function of the body.

Benefits of Clinical Pilates include:

  • Improve core stability
  • Enhanced posture
  • Increased flexibility
  • Improved muscular strength
  • Improved coordination / balance
  • Safe and effective rehabilitation of lower back injuries / conditions
  • Overall fitness and rehabilitation

At HIPA, our consultants are all trained in Clinical Pilates and utilise the most recent research in developing core stability programs for the workplace. Our exceptional knowledge in biomechanics combine to design tailored Clinical Pilates Programs for workers.
